Run a show of your own? Sanctioning it as an MPBA tour stop puts it in front of every member in the region.
What sanctioning does
Your show, on the tour
MPBA does not take over your show. You run it exactly as you always have, keep your own entries and your own money. Sanctioning simply means MPBA members who enter earn double points toward the season standings, and your date goes on the tour stop list the whole membership watches.
Send us the date
Get in touch with the show name, arena, town and dates. We will confirm the date is clear.
Pay the fee
$30 per show date, mailed with the form. That is the only money you owe MPBA, and it goes back out through the association.
Run your show
Nothing changes about how you run it. Members enter alongside everyone else.
Send results back
Within one week of the show. Placings, class sizes and divisions are all we need.
What we need in the results
- Rider name, as it was entered
- Division, Open or Youth
- 1D, 2D or 3D
- Placing
- How many riders were in the class, counting all three divisions
- The date of the run
Class size is what sets the points, so it matters more than anything else on the list.
Common questions
Do I have to be an MPBA member?
No. Sanctioning is open to any producer running an open pole bending show in the region.
Does it change my entry fees or payout?
You set your own entry fees. Sanctioned classes do follow the MPBA payout rule: 100% of advertised added money and 75% of class fees are paid out, less any sanctioning fee per run. It is set out in the competition rules.
Can I sanction more than one date?
Yes, and most do. It is $30 per show date.
